On behalf of Taylor and myself, many many thanks to the Old Town School of Folk Music!!

Playing this event gives us artists way of acknowledging and saying thanks to the board members, administrators, staff and teachers of the Old Town School who support literally thousands of students, teaching artists, and other arts professionals world wide. If you are one of the fortunate few in a position to help keep this tradition of cultural democracy by supporting not-for-profit arts institutions with your dollars in exchange for a raucously memorable evening at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago’s Lincoln square neighborhood, we sure would appreciate the help. Plus, there’s beer and cocktails.

Several other OTS Instructors will be at various restaurants in the neighborhood.

Old Town School of Folk Music’s 2017 Blue Jean Gala pairs a one of a kind concert featuring Los Lobos with a roaming feast, where attendees partake in a selection of hors d’oeuvres and small-plates from the many Zagat-rated restaurants in Lincoln Square. Guests will also enjoy live music from several Old Town School teaching artists as they make their way along Lincoln Ave. Surprise elements throughout the evening will delight our guests with Old Town School’s unique brand of casual cool.

Los Lobos is a multiple Grammy-Award winning band. They achieved international acclaim with over forty years of rollicking performances across the globe with the same raw intensity as they had when they began in 1973.

“For four decades Los Lobos have been exploring the artistic possibilities of American biculturalism, moving back and forth between their Chicano roots and their love of American rock.” – Rolling Stone

“The genius of Los Lobos resides in their innate ability to find the redemptive power of music, no matter the style they choose to play.” – All About Jazz
